This year the Big East Tournament will be all new, as all sixteen teams will be invited. Big East Tournament tickets are likely to be in higher demand, naturally, since more teams means more fans.
Probably a good idea if you’re looking to go the tournament, to get your tickets early as a lot of fans aren’t even aware yet of the change.

For a time, it looked like fans or Oregon State were going to be buying Rose Bowl tickets, but now that’s not going to happen, as Joe Paterno has Penn State back on top of the Big Ten and back in the Rose Bowl.
Penn State’s fans are scrambling to buy Penn State Rose Bowl tickets, especially sweet since Penn State hasn’t been in the Rose Bowl since 1995. Is it the last year for an aging JoePa? I wish it wasn’t, but all things must come to an end. I think making the Rose Bowl is a pretty decent way to end a legendary career as a head football coach. Of course, Joe might come back just because he likes to coach, but if his team wins, it might change his outlook.

FSU has gotten a win in their basketball recruiting efforts, landing a player from 2010. This post has video of the recruit, although it is not from a game. Florida State seems to like combo forwards, and has gone after this type of player in the past, sometimes with success. Only time will tell if these player will get to play under Hamilton, or if there will be a new coach for FSU at some point in the future. FSU hasn’t really been relevant in basketball for some time, except for being a thorn in the side of Duke, who can’t seem to figure out how to play them in Tallahasee. Oh well.

Got some more information about UNC Basketball Tickets that you might want to check out. The season is already underway, and this site has a write up about some of the players for UNC this year that is really interesting.
The description of Tyler Hansbrough is particularly engaging, but he also talks about Danny Green, Ty Lawson and others on the roster as well. It’s an interesting read to say the least. UNC fans are always looking for more information about their team while the team isn’t playing, so here you go.
Ty Lawson is one of the fastest point guards I’ve ever seen in college basketball, quite frankly. Even after seeing Dee Brown of Illinois a few years ago and Ray Felton, Lawson seems to be faster than either of them. He runs the point a less purely than Felton, but you can’t argue with his assist to turnover ratio. One thing about this year’s Tar Heels is how Will Graves has come on and been getting more and more minutes for North Carolina’s team, a welcome addition for coach Roy Williams with the injuries to Copeland, Hansbrough and Marcus Ginyard. The UNC bench is so deep that even with the injuries they are the best team in the nation. It’s actually kind of hard to fathom, but UNC basketball may be in for the most stellar year they’ve ever had, and that is really saying something.

Writing about the top Freshman of the 2009 college basketball season this early in the season might be exercise in futility, but that doesn’t stop some people from talking about it, even basketball recruiting sites.
This time of year is so fantastic, we’ve got pro football, pro basketball, college basketball and college football all converging at the same time. And lest we forget, there’s even hockey. It’s a magical time of year in a sports fan’s calendar, all right. You just can’t beat it. During the long summer months of trying to survive the boring day to day repetitive grind of baseball and NASCAR, keeping up with basketball recruiting is about the only way to survive. It’s hard to pay attention, and even though during the fall and winter I listed non stop to sports radio, during the summer I forget that it’s even on the dial. I’m glad I am not in that business, I’d flounder during those times of the year. I couldn’t even fake interest from about June until September…even preseason pro football interests me more than postseason baseball and NASCAR isn’t even a sport to me. I know there are tons of NASCAR fans, but it just isn’t even remotely interesting to me. That’s why I follow AAU basketball, it gives me something to do.

Talk about not pulling any punches. The new Sports Brawl blog has come out swinging, basically calling out the entire BCS bowl ranking system, the NCAA and every major sports media reporting outlet. The Sports Brawl is the brainchild of Joe “Strike” Pallicano, a guy who pretty much just likes to mouth off about sports, what’s wrong with sports, what’s right with sports, who should go to the Cotton Bowl, the Orange Bowl, or whatever.
Joe Strike blasts the BCS for having a ‘two team playoff’, which he calls ’silly’. I gotta admit, he seems to have a point, although I don’t know how in the world we can fix the problem with the current college bowl system. A lot of money involved, and when there is a lot of money involved, change is difficult. However, just because something is difficult doesn’t mean it can’t be accomplished. This is probably where the Sports Brawl is going, the idea being, let’s get the ball rolling on fixing hte BCS already. We all know it needs to be done, so why aren’t we working on it?
In that regard, Joe has a point. Sometimes any action, no matter how small, is enough to start a much larger change.

So even though Kelvin Sampson was on the payroll, the Hoosiers handling of the whole recruiting situation prevented them from the brunt of punishment from the NCAA. It looks like their basketball recruiting efforts will only be slightly affected.

Why is the ACC tournament one of the best basketball tournaments in all of college basketball land? Well, perhaps Arlen Simmons explains it best in his essay about his ACC Basketball Tickets and why they are so awesome.
It seems Arlen loves college basketball and loves the whole idea that a team who has a lackluster season can still win a few games in a row and get a shot in the Big Dance.

Wake Forest is one of the smallest colleges in Division I basketball, and the fact that they play in the much ballyhooed ACC would make one think that they would have a hard time competing. Not so.
As fans clamor for Wake Forest Basketball Tickets, it’s because Wake has managed to not only survive but create a storied history for it’s sports programs.
This season will probably be one that Wake fans thoroughly enjoy. The Deacs are, frankly, loaded with future pro talent and have a ton of offensive firepower that will thrill the Joel Coliseum. It might take a while for their defensive effort to match their offensive prowess, but this team is going to make some noise in the ACC and probably will make a run right into the NCAA tournament. That is why when Wake Forest Basketball Tickets went on sale, fans went right after some of the big match ups even faster than they usually do, as the expected battles versus Duke, UNC, Indiana and others should be entertaining.
One of the more interesting games on the Wake Forest schedule is Bucknell, a giant killer from the NCAA tournament that has proven it is is a team that can play on the big stage. The Deacs will have to guard against complacency, but coach Dino Gaudio has the talent to get the wins this season and make a mark in the ACC.
The Deacons should have a nice spot in the ACC Basketball Tournament as well, so Wake fans will be eagerly going after the ACC Basketball Tournament Tickets as well.
